I have been talking with a lot of close friends lately who are all feeling Satan's efforts to pull them away from God and the good things he is having them do. I don't wish the struggle to find truth on anyone but it is such a blessing to have others there to build you up and pray through things with you. So, on that note I just want to encourage you. You are not alone! Satan has been feeding me a lot of lies and doubt lately and I've realized that is the first step, recognizing it is not Godly truth but lies that you are hearing. The second step is trusting these struggles to God and seeking his word to combat the deceit. Whether you are a new believer, a involved member of the church community, or going on a mission's trip (the list is endless) Satan wants to drag you down. He doesn't like what the Lord is accomplishing through you and he definitely doesn't like it when God's kingdom expands. But don't lose hope! From personal experience I know that God provides in these times. He does not create us just to abandon us when we need Him. God desires to lift us up and be the rock we rely on. This was the reason I buy into the negativity the devil tries to shove into my life. I don't often rely on God for my strength to be completely honest and am still working on building my house on the rock. =)
'"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.'"
"'Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." Then Moses summoned Joshua and said to him in the presence of all Israel, "Be strong and courageous, for you must go with this people into the land that the LORD swore to their forefathers to give them, and you must divide it among them as their inheritance. The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."'
"'But Jesus called the children to him and said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it."'
